On Saturday 9th June, the Bridle brothers will compete in a 6 hour race around Snetterton Circuit!

Snetterton has undergone somewhat of a renaissance during the recent years following a multi-million pound redevelopment project at the start of 2011, which was met with rave reviews from spectators.

We’re really stoked to be racing at Snetterton!

Phew!! This round of the Funcup championship took the team to sunny Norfolk for a 6 hour duel across a 3 mile circuit with very fast corners and tight hairpins – a challenge for any driver 🙂

Qualifying went well with Chris posting the fastest lap for our team ending up 18th out of 32 even with traffic on his quickest lap. Ed was designated starter and made a good safe start which left us around the top 20 at the end of his first stint. Chris then jumped in the car and had a pretty quiet stint and came in again around the top 20 mark.

The next few stints became tricky with a torrential downpour which led to the race being continued under safety car for safety reasons 🙁 Even under safety car the cars where still aquaplaning across the water.

During the safety car periods we were very unlucky with pit window opening times which led to us losing 2 laps from the leaders because of no fault of our own. This made it difficult for us after the safety car when the race re started to make any real headway into the top 15.

At the end of the race we finished 18th which was still a good solid point’s haul for the championship.
